Prima is a network of poker rooms that have the players from all of their sites playing together in one large virtual room. They are currently the third largest network online. This assures that there are many games and limits to choose from 24 hours a day.
The games offered are Texas Holdem, Omaha, Omaha/8, 7 Card Stud and 5 Card Stud each in Limit, Pot-Limit and No-Limit. No-Limit Holdem is the most popular game at Prima with Limit Holdem, Pot-Limit Omaha/8, Pot-Limit 7 Card Stud and Pot-Limit Omaha all having full games at many limits available around the clock. 5 Card Stud is played, but mostly at the lower limits. The limits available range from .05/.10 up to 100/200. They also offer a free download of their software and a play money account that allows you to familiarize yourself with the software. The software is user friendly with all of the game controls in the lower right-hand corner for easy access and a clean, uncluttered playing area.
A running total of the amount in the pot is displayed both on the table and above the controls. It is easy to follow the action as each players name box is highlighted with a bar showing the time he or she has left to act when it is their turn. Keeping detailed notes on opposing players is achieved by right clicking on the player’s name, which brings up a text box to enter information. There is a chat box at the bottom of the page so you may talk to the other players if you choose. Chat can also be turned off if it bothers you.
Prima offers many tournament options including Sit & Go’s and Multi Table (MTT). The Sit & Go’s have buy-ins ranging from .75/.25 up to 100/9. As for the MTT’s, there are four daily $1000 free rolls that anyone with 100 raked hands qualify to play and a daily $200 free roll with no requirements. Every Sunday there is a $100,000 guaranteed tournament and daily they offer the following guaranteed tournaments: $25,000, $22,000, $12,000, $7,500, $6,500, $6,000, $5,500, $4,500, $4,000, $4,000, $3,500, $3,500, $2,500, $2,500 and $1,200.
Also offered is a series of tournaments called Rounders that allow you to buy in a Sit & Go for 5/.50 and advance through five rounds of Sit & Go’s for a chance to win $3,000.
Three of the Prima rooms, The Gaming Club, Riverbelle and Lucky Nugget share the same support staff and in our experience have the best customer service available of any room on the Internet.
PricewaterhouseCoopers test and certify the randomness of the cards at Prima to assure the games are fair.
